80's Inspired Thruster

This board was made for me.  I really wanted to test an 80's style thruster.  This was my first time shaping with EPS/epoxy and was a great learning process.  I kept the bottom design simple and the outline fairly classic.  The dimensions are 6'7" x 12.5" x 21.25" x 15.5" x 3" with a squash tail, modern rails, lightly beaked nose, relaxed rocker, and thruster setup w/ S5 fins by Surf Source.

I rode this board for the entire 2011 hurricane season in North Florida!  At seasons end, I ended up selling it used & am going to shape another one with 0.5"-0.75" more nose rocker for the steeper drops.  Even with the relaxed rocker, this board was making 99% of the drops with ease and I scored one of the best and biggest barrels of my life on it!

Quad Fish

This fish was for Dan Jones.  Dimensions are 6'2" x 16.25" x 22.25" x 16.75" x 2.88".  Features modern rails, single to double concave w/ tail vee, relaxed rocker with a beaked nose, and quad fin setup w/ G7 fronts and GX rears.

I had an opportunity to surf this board for a while today in some 2-3ft surf w/ hard offshore winds.  The board was great & lived up to all of her design features...fast like a fish, reliable hold with the quad setup, but still loose and manueverable.  I'm going to use this exact template and shape one for me next!!!

Mini Simmons

The Mini-Simmons features a hulled entry transitioning to a deep single concave through the tail w/ twin keels.  It features step deck rails with full foil both laterally and longitudinally.  The dimensions are 5'6" x 19" x 23" x 20" x 17" (tail block) x 3".  It has very low rocker in the nose and tail which makes assists in making it fast as lightening....plus you can still score a cheater five!

Quad Pod

This board was made for Dave Burden.  Dimensions are 6'5" x 17" x 22.75" x 17" x 3".  It features a round tail quad w/ double bump, single to double concave w/ vee through the tail on the bottom, relaxed rocker with a beaked nose, and performance rails.
